Advanced Dive Course - 2 Day/1 Night on Fitzroy Island

$680AUD Includes all levies, taxes and charges.

Cairns Dive Centre conducts the Advanced Dive Course daily, the course is completed over 2 days / 1 night.  Day 1 is on Fitzroy Island with an overnight in our Butterfly Bungalow (share accommodation) near the beach on the island. Day 2 is conducted on the Outer Barrier Reef.

Our Professional Reef Team will guide you through your course which is a mixture of training and pleasure diving, with the emphasis on FUN!!!!. You visit a variety of sites on Fitzroy Island and on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, about two hours from the coast of Cairns. These sites include the beautiful Moore, Milln, Briggs, Sudbury, Elford and Thetford reefs.

The five dives towards your Advanced certification includes:

  • Deep Dive
  • Navigation Dive
  • Boat Dive
  • A further 2 dives from a selection of dives including:
  • Search and Recovery Dive
  • Underwater Naturalist Dive
  • Digital Underwater Photography Dive
  • Computer Dive

Included in your course:

  • 5 training dives
  • Use of all the dive gear, including dive computers
  • Wetsuits or Stinger Suits
  • Free use of a prescription mask if required during the course
  • Lunch and afternoon tea on day two on the reef.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1

7:30am Check in at MV Sunkist (end of E Jetty at the Marlin Marina)
8:00am

Transfer to Fitzroy Island

10:15am

First training dive session

11:30am

Lunch

12:30pm

Second training dive session

2:00pm

Third training dive session

3:15pm

Check into Bungalow

  Free time until next morning

Day 2

8:45am

Meet at end of Fitzroy Island Jetty (to meet Sunkist for your outer reef trip)

10:15am

Arrive at Outer Reef Site

11:30am

Fourth training dive session

12:30pm

Lunch

1:30pm

Fifth training dive session

2:45pm

Depart the reef, travel via Fitzroy Island

4:45pm

Arrive back at Cairns
